5 Types of Dog Training

Dogs are an important part of human life... thus they are officially called man's best friend. But although they love unconditionally, keep us laughing, and play with unending zest, they sometimes have innocent but irksome tendencies. Thus it is vital for owners to spend time training their pets. When you are successful in training your dog, you will have a well-mannered family member who willingly follows rules and different commands. 3. Police Dog - Used by policemen, K9 dogs are mostly trained to enhance their senses, skills, and abilities. Some of these K9s are experts in detecting contraband items and bombs. Their sense of smell is also trained to track down criminals.
4. Physical Assistance - Are pets that assist people with physical disabilities. Most of them assist people who are blind, handicapped, or those with medical conditions. Training these kinds of pooches is quite expensive especially if one prefers a professionally trained and certified pet. One may also opt to take on the task of training them though.
5. Search and Rescue - With great senses of smell, these types of dog find missing people through air scenting. This simply means tracking down people through their smell by sniffing through the air. Ground smelling may also be used.

These are just some of the most basic types of dog training. With the right instructor and the proper qualities of a dog, one will have a pet that will be helpful not just to one family but even to a whole society. Look into your pet's qualities and decide which type of training he is best for.
