Easy Yet Effective Ways to Dog Obedience Training

Most of the dog lovers and owners would love to send their dogs to training or they will train their dogs themselves. The primary purpose why they would like their dogs to have dog obedience training is to establish lasting relationship with their dogs. Also, not only that but dogs are of big help in times of house attack and that is proven many times. With that, no wonder that more and more people would turn to training their dogs. But sometime, sending your dogs to training is expensive. So we come up with the idea to training them ourselves.

1. Always use rewards method on training. This is recommended by most experts. In training, you should reward your dog when he accomplished something or when your dog did something great. On the other hand, when he does something not good, punish them but never hit them. By doing so, they might resent from training or they will just refuse training and will become independent. We don't want this to happen so never hit them or apply force when they commit mistakes. You will just have undesirable results of training.

2. Teach your dog a simple command by using dog leash. This is very effective and very useful when you are in public. When we are in a crowd, we don't want to get embarrassed, do we? Teaching simple command such as sit and stand using dog leash is basically just to take control of our dogs when we are in public places to avoid embarrassment. Way number 2 should be very easy and is recommended by most experts.

3. Your voice plays a very important role in your dog obedience training. Your voice will be the most indispensable tool in training. That is why you need to be very firm of your voice. Having said that, you need to let your dog feel that you care and show some compassion with your voice. Do not be aggressive in any way or else your dog might be challenged.

4. Finally, there is a need for you to be consistent at all times. We need to do this so as not to confuse the dog. In order for you not to confuse the dog on training, you need to set some standards. When you already have some standards in your dog obedience training, then it would be easy for you to be consistent because you already know what to do or not to do while on training.

Dog obedience training could be easy when you will follow these easy yet effective ways. But then again, this is not an activity that your dog is the only player because this should be you and your dog. It takes love, respect and passion for you to be successful in this dog obedience training.
