It is important to get started with aggressive puppy training sooner rather than later if your puppy is showing signs of aggression.
An example of aggression - you feed your puppy and your pet growls or charges at anyone who comes near it while it is eating. This can become a very dangerous behavior down the road, so it is important to deal with it right away, as soon as you notice that your pet is displaying bad behavior such as this.
Aggressive puppy training requires plenty of patience and love. Never punish or hit your pet. A puppy is a baby who needs a lot of understanding and a lot of your time. If you have neither patience nor time, then a puppy may not be the right choice for you.
If your pet is showing aggression with the food bowl, follow these simple steps to correct his behavior:
* Feed your puppy.
* When your pet starts eating, take the food away.
* If your pet nips at you or growls, have him sit and when he becomes quiet, return his food to him.
You are simply teaching your pet that you are the boss, not him. Once he realizes that you have the power to give the food and to take it away, he will stop this bad behavior.
So why is it important to do aggressive puppy training?
If you do not teach your pet at an early age how to behave and be safe around other dogs and children, you may have a serious problem on your hands later on as your dog matures.
Every puppy should be properly socialized. Dogs are pack animals, and they are also very social. This means interacting with other dogs. A lot of cities have designated "dog parks" where you can take your puppy to meet other dogs. Make sure, though, that your vaccinations are up to date before you expose your pet to other dogs.
Working with your pet and practicing aggressive puppy training can help to build a close relationship between you and your dog for life. Your pet soon learns that you are the leader of the pack, and that you must be obeyed at all costs. If your pet sees you as the leader, training will be a much easier process. Above all else, always be loving with your puppy. Never hit or punish your pet and spend plenty of time playing with your pet as a reward after training sessions.
