#1.) Doggie Love and Affection- This is where you will demonstrate your fondness for your new friend, by talking to him, petting him, smiling and yes, hugs are included! This will give your dog a clear sign that you are now the best of Buds. You will want show consistent affection giving predictable cues. This process will also give your dog a sense of security and wantedness which is vital for the bonding process. In short always be nice to your dog.

#2.) Scheduling: This is where you will want to start your dog out on a tight schedule, meaning that you actually take time out to take him walking, potty, to play with him, and teach him new tricks (or house rules). It is imperative that you designate a particular area for him to go potty letting him know each time with a bodily cue and once he has gone communicating success and your praises of him. in the beginning stages of the relationship it is important that you keep every event in a timely fashion. in other words be consistent! and stick to the schedule. You will know by your dogs actions that he has learned so that you can move on to newer better things.

#3.) Communication: This is where you will maintain order in your relationship with your dog to ensure that you remain the top dog of your household. a dog that does not respect its owner is unhealthy for any long-term relationship. You will want to begin by learning to understand your dogs behavior. know that your dog does speak but in another language. Dogs communicate by use of direct language without abstract symbols. they use their voices, body postures, facial expressions, movements, smells, and touching.

A basic understanding of these 3 Tips will have you well on your way to a healthy happy relationship with your dog.
